



First of all I would like to thank everyone including family, friends and the promotion team of celebrity slim for letting me take part in this challenge, also all the other slimmers, we have all done so well on this diet, and hopefully changed our bad eating habits for good. Also I would like to thank everyone at The Quay radio station especially Hayley who has been such a great support and I will miss her chats every week.
When I first started this challenge the main reason I wanted to do it was to loose about 1 stone and 10lb. And also change my bad eating habits, such as crisps and cheese and biscuits in the evening, but also I knew my portion sizes were far too big for what I needed.
I wanted to feel good again and look good for my husband and family, I really needed this type of diet to be strict with myself, as I find that weight groups that you attend, I just cheat, but I had more to loose with this diet.
At first I really thought I was gonna struggle with the water intake and lake of food. I must admit the water is hard, if you have never been a big water drinker. But I managed to get through this by drinking green tea with lemon as you have propley read in my last few blogs.as I have lost weight I have felt that I don’t need so much food instead of just being a glutton.
The shakes and Bars have been my favourite part of this diet, I didn’t really like the soups and I have been amazed how much they do fill you up. The ladies at Rowlands Pharmacy in London road have all been so supportive during my weekly weigh in.’s, Sandra has been a great support and I am going to carry on going to be weighed every month to catch up and just check that things are not going pear shape.
I have met some lovely people during the last 8 weeks and I hope that we all stay in touch, so not just changing our lives, but making new friends for life.
After week one of starting this diet my eldest daughter measured all different parts of my body, not just the waist like they do at rowlands.
My starting measurements were:
Waist 100 CMS now 84.5 CMS
Hips 98 CMS now 90 CMS
Bust 102 CMS now 96 CMS
Top of arms 34 CMS now 29 CMS
Top of legs 54 CMS now 52 CMS
My total weight loss is 7.8 kilos which is just over 17lbs

Day 1
Good day today, was so pleased with my loss this week, feeling really motivated for these last few weeks
I have stopped drinking as much water, but drinking green tea with lemon a lot, this is full of antioxidants and good for weight loss, I think I will carrying n drinking this after I finish as I enjoy it so much
Day 2
All of us celebrity slimmers are getting very excited about meeting each other on the 30th of April. For those who don’t know there are 33 of us doing this diet across the country and we are all meeting up in Bolton for an award night and a good old chinwag. We will probably all have trouble drinking and all be flat on backs after 2 glasses of wine. Gonna be great to see all the people as we have supported each other over the last 8 weeks
Day 3
Normal work day today, the kids are still off school.
Had my morning chat with hayley from the quay.
Swimming with the kids tonight, This is also something I wanna keep up with, as it good for us all to get out one evening a week and great exercise for all of us.
Day 4
Friday again, the weeks seem to be flying at the moment.
Another busy day at work, I have been so good this week and can’t wait to see the results after the weekend
Felt a bit down tonight after I finished work, but put my trainers on and took the dog for a long walk with Oliver. It was nice to get out and blew the cobwebs away. I don’t really like the weekends when neil is away, as this would be the time we spend together.
Day 5
Felt a bit better this morning, of to down town to spend my birthday money and treat myself to some new clothes.
I went shopping and went to get some food shopping aswell.
I got loads of new bits jeans and tops and shoes, spend most of the afternoon sorting out my wardrobe
Laughed when trying on old clothes from last summer and they were falling off me, (into the bin for them)
Day 6
A lovely sunny Sunday, got up early, gotta work from 12 till 5 today
Sorted out washing and ironing before work, and got the kids stuff ready for back to school tomorrow
Had a good day at work, kept myself busy, and Sam had cooked tea when I got home, I have some lovely juicy gammon and vegetables, to be honest the last few days I haven’t really felt hungry.
Day 7
Weigh in day today, only 1 more to go after this one, as we all started this diet on slightly different dates
It works out that we here in Portsmouth are doing it for nearly 9 weeks , the last weigh in for all being the 26th of April, so last week of supplies.
Day 1
Tuesday Bank Holiday over, but off work this week, I must try and keep focused. Neil has gone away today, the ship sailed this morning and is back in August So whatever weight iI loose over the next few weeks, he will see a difference. Even if I don’t loose all the 1 stone 10lb I need to loose, I can still play around with the extra few pounds And with summer coming hopefully maintain and look good for him when he comes home. As I am off work this week went to be weighed in the morning as got so much to do. I lost 1.5 KGs which is about 3.3 lbs., I don’t know if this had something with water retention but Monday next week will tell
Day 2
Had another busy day today, trying to catch up with all the household chores, the sort of things you do when you are off work, The weather is great, so the kids are out playing and I am being good on my water intake today
Day 3
Had a lovely lie in this morning, spent some quality time in the garden Took the dog for a walk, went swimming this afternoon and did 10 lengths of the pool I was starving when I came home, funny how you are always hungry after swimming Had some nice fresh stir fry and bolongnese sauce for tea
Day 4
Had a chill morning this morning, took my cup of tea and meal fudge bar back to bed Went to town and had my eyes tested, also took the kids the pictures to see How to train your dragon in 3D This was slip up this week, I had some nachos and jalapenos in the cinema, fatal. Took the kids to McDonalds for tea, but I just had a green salad as I felt so quilty about the nachos. I did have a snack bar later on in evening.
Day 5
Had another housework day, my house must be the cleanest in Portsmouth at the moment, caught up on all my other jobs. Went to walk the dog and then went for a walk round the shops with the kids. Had my shake for breakfast and a bar for lunch Did call into McDonalds with my neighbours with kids and had a chicken Mayo sandwich. Got Why did I ????? Oh well it is my birthday on Monday
Day 6
Another day another new start, I am struggling the last few days to keep focused. Kept cooking, and myself busy in the morning with shopping. Made a big lemon drizzle cake to take to work tomorrow for the staff, for my birthday. Cooked a lovely roast dinner for my lovely family, and sat and chilled to watch the football
Day 7
Happy birthday to me, another weigh today, only 2 more to go after this one, not that hopeful today, but back to work and need to keep myself on the straight and narrow. Had a really good day, seemed more focused today, back to work and resisted the temptation of my cake I took in. Went to get my new supplies and get weighed, lost another 0.5 kg so that’s another 1.1lb loss. Had a real busy day at work today, but still managed to drink my water and eat my snacks. Starting to think about going away on Friday, really looking forward to a break. Had some fresh chicken and salad for tea, I eat chicken quite a lot on this diet, as it’s quite versatile and goes with vegetables or salad

Had a busy morning at work, Had our live radio interview with Hayley today at the Quay, It was great to see Gail and Anne and see how different they look, we had a great girlie chat and Are all looking forward to the final in Bolton. Had to do loads when I got home from work ready to go away.
Friday / Saturday / Sunday Day 4/ 5/ 6
Went away to Dawlish for the weekend today, It took us about 4 hours driving, as were in all The bank holiday traffic, and the rain Was good today, Had a small salad for lunch, and for tea the ladies in the restaurant made me some chicken with bacon and a bit of cheese, with some salad. No drinking for me, I am not a big drinker anyway, but just stuck to Soda water and lime, which is better than lager or vodka. Walked around Dawlish for miles on Saturday, and everyone had a big pasty from this lovely bakery, I ate my choc fudge meal replacement bar, which are lovely I have a confession though I did surcome to a scone with some jam and cream with a cup of tea when we got back, and then had stomach ache for the next hour. We had a long walk down to Dawlish warren Saturday afternoon, so that would have burnt off a good few calories. On Sunday, after I cooked everyone a fry up and I had a cookie and cream shake, we went to paignton zoo Which was brilliant, walked for about 5 hours and again I did have a few treats, a hot chocolate and a hot cross bun. Have been constipated a bit this weekend and don’t know if it’s the treats I’ve eaten or the difference in water. We got home about 8 PM last night left the kids there with Sam and she is bringing them back tomorrow.

Day 1

Day 1
Another good day, felt great at the start of this 5th week, happy with my weight loss so far, it works out about 2 1/2lb a week, which is a great way to loose weight, as hopefully, no I mean it will stay off afterwards. I am eating healthier and thinking healthier.
The water intake is still really hard, but I do my best most days.
I feel really positive about loosing the weight I have left to loose, I know I can do this now
The other girls on this diet are very supportive, and I am so grateful for all there help, I think I have made friends for life.
Day 2
Another busy day at work kept looking at the tin of biscuits in work. But I didn’t sircome to them, I was hungry when I got in from work, but had a snack and then we all went swimming at the mountbatten centre, I felt really refreshed afterwards, and I really enjoyed my stir fry that I had for tea.
Keeping myself busy which helps the snack thoughts coming into my head, which what I would of usually had was a packet of crisps or some chocolate.
Day 3
Had another great day today, spring in my step, spoke to Hayley this morning and we are on the radio live next week , so really looking forward to seeing the other girls, and see how well they are doing.
Have been good, but again struggling with the water.
Had parents evening tonight, and was late getting in but stuck to my fish and salad, even though I was starving.
Day 4
A very busy day today, had some vegetable curry for lunch today, I felt I needed something warm for a change at lunch time, the girls all enjoyed the smell of it in work.
Didn’t sit down till late tonight, but was glad to chill with my last snack bar and a cup of tea.
Day 5
Another weekend, this is when I find it difficult to keep my head around all the thinks I need to eat and drink and when, as I have so many other things to do aswell.
Friends round tonight for food, I have myself a lasagne without the pasta, but with strips of carrot and courgette won’t be drinking, I’ll stick to my green tea with lemon, which is lovely even cold.
Day 6
Treated myself this morning, grilled bacon, poached egg and tomato for breakfast.
Went to gunwharf shopping and got myself some new size 12 trousers.
The men in my life had big hot dog sausage rolls at the same time I was shopping so I couldn’t smell them.
Had a lovely roast dinner of chicken and vegetables for tea and kept myself busy in the evening
Day 7
Another start to the working week, felt tired this morning, but kept myself going.
One of the girls brought in some home-made biscuits, I didn’t eat any of them
Went to get my new supplies and weigh in today, Lost another 1lb, so altogether nearly 11lb, can’t wait to hit the stone mark. I know this week is gonna be hard as bank holiday and away, but will try my best.
Neil is away from next week, so gonna really knuckle down then for the last stretch.

Hi and Welcome back to my 4th week of celebrity slim (nearly half way)
Day 1
Felt a bit more positive today, sorry if last week and I didn’t sound that good, what with being poorly and then no weight loss, I will do well this week and thanks to everyone for support.
Haven’t drunk so much water today, maybe I am retaining it, so it’s worth a try for a few days
Made some lovely vegetable omelettes for tea and had loads of salad, had a mango meal replacement bar for lunch and a choc mint shake for breakfast. When I went to get weighed yesterday I got some apple crumble snack bars they are scrummy.
Just booked a weekend away for us over Easter, before Neil goes away for his long trip, but I will have to be good.
Day 2
Good day again today, felt hungry today by 11.30 am so was glad when my lunch break came.
Drunk loads of green tea today, which I really enjoy with a slice of lemon in.
Took the dog for a nice walk when I came home from work.
Loads of people I haven’t seen for a few weeks are noticing my weight loss, I hope Neil notices
When he comes back.had a sort of roast dinner tonight but without the potatoes.
Bit bored tonight so have thought about food a lot, I think it might be an early night.

Very happy today as Neil is coming home, felt well positive and have followed this diet to the T.
Have drunk my water, eaten all the correct things, not that I don’t always, but I must admit the water is hard some days.
Had a lovely bit of steak with fresh salad for tea, and have eaten loads of fresh fruit
Been busy since I came home from work, and have got a busy weekend coming up, as we are having a family party. It will be nice to dress up a bit and show people the weight I have already lost.

Another good day, but I have got a confession to make, I ate a malteser, just one, but it was nice.
I blame the girls in work bringing in nice things. Not bad in nearly 4 weeks one malteser.
I have done really well otherwise and have been so good with all my meals and drinks.
People are really noticing my weight loss now, so it must be coming off, Neil really noticed how much weight I have lost since he has been away.

Welcome back to Week 3 of Celebrity slim
Day1
Haven’t had a brilliant day today.
Didn’t sleep very well last night, I have got a cold and cough and keep sneezing, also had problems with my car so had to sort that out first thing, always happens when you have a husband at sea and all the responsibilities are yours.
Had a lovely cookies and cream shake for breakfast and tired a new choc mint snack bar for mid morning snack, that was delicious.
Had my hair cut tonight, I should loose a bit of weight this week even without the diet. LOL
Made a lovely tea of cottage pie but with Mashed carrot and Swede on top, with steamed vegetables
I think I will be in bed early, dowsed up with cold remedies, hopefully feel better tomorrow as I promised to take the kids swimming.
Day 2
Still feel poorly today, but have kept drinking the water and eating the right things, that’s the only problem when you are unwell, you just want to fill up on carbs and rubbish and comfort eat.
Had to walk to get the car back and walk the dog, which I really didn’t feel like but extra exercise
Had some fresh fish and salad for tea, which I really enjoyed, even though the taste buds are not working like they should do. Hopefully I will feel better in the morning after some sleep, Sorry if I feel a bit low, but it’s not the diet just this Flu.
Day 3
Feel worse today, Hayley from The Quay called to have a chat about how everything has gone this week, I bet I sound awful in my interview this week, this cold has now gone to my chest and been coughing all night, last night.
Haven’t been to work today, but have been drinking loads of hot water with slices of lemon in it, which is a refreshing change.
Made a lovely chicken casserole for tea cooked the kid’s roast potatoes with theirs and I just had green beans with mine it was lovely and warm, comfort food.
Had the mint choc shake for lunch even though haven’t felt hungry today it was delicious.
I have felt better this evening, so back to work tomorrow, even Neil called from the ship today, I think he was a bit worried about me, Love him, Thanks for caring hun xxxx
Day 4
Better day today, Still coughing a bit but feel better, Skipped a shake for breakfast and had apple and peanut butter for a change, which was nice. Have only drunk 1-½ litres of water today, but feel good, One of the girl’s brought a big bag of Doritos’s into work today and I didn’t have one, I just ate my snack bar, which is amazing for me.
Had some fresh salad and fish for tea, and just enjoyed some yoghurt and cup of tea.
Popped round one of my best friends Kate’s for a natter and catch up after work, which was really nice , she is really supportive with my challenge to loose this weight, and good to put the world to right LOL
Also chatted to Anne and Gail on facebook tonight, glad Gail is doing better this week, we got keep up the good work for the south coast girls.
Day 5
Another weekend, Mother’s day tomorrow, I hope I don’t get any chocolates.
Busy day today, been shopping and forgot to take a snack I was starving and had headache when I got back, Lack of water and food, I won’t be doing that again in a hurry.
Ate well otherwise, had a vanilla shake and a big plate of stir fry with some pork for tea, and for my evening snack had a small orange with a yoghurt it was a nice change. Still got a bad headache though at bedtime.
Day 6
Mothering Sunday and thought I would treat myself to breakfast in bed , had some grilled bacon mushrooms and tomatoes, kids are a bit young to be cooking that so treated them with the same but they had hash brown with there’s .
Took the dog out for a walk in the sunshine for an hour, so a bit of extra exercise today, still got a headache though even though I have drunk more today.
Having a lovely Roast beef dinner this afternoon, No Roast potatoes though.
Had a big bunch of flower s delivered from carol Moore for mother’s day and a phone call of Neil, which was nice.
Weigh in day tomorrow, I don’t think I have lost as much as last week, but every little off if good.
Day 7
Back to work again, Monday is always mad, but kept to my diet and snacks, and drunk loads of water today
Neil is home on Friday so can’t wait to see his face with the weight I have lost so far.
Really disappointed for myself today, as I have no weight at all. Spoke to Ema re this and she said it can be normal, really gotta push myself this week and hopefully get a better result next week, log in to then to see how I’ve done.

Had some fresh salad and fish for tea, and just enjoyed some yoghurt and cup of tea.
Popped round one of my best friends Kate’s for a natter and catch up after work, which was really nice , she is really supportive with my challenge to loose this weight, and good to put the world to right LOL
Also chatted to Anne and Gail on facebook tonight, glad Gail is doing better this week, we got keep up the good work for the south coast girls.
Day 5
Another weekend, Mother’s day tomorrow, I hope I don’t get any chocolates.
Busy day today, been shopping and forgot to take a snack I was starving and had headache when I got back, Lack of water and food, I won’t be doing that again in a hurry.
Ate well otherwise, had a vanilla shake and a big plate of stir fry with some pork for tea, and for my evening snack had a small orange with a yoghurt it was a nice change. Still got a bad headache though at bedtime.
Day 6
Mothering Sunday and thought I would treat myself to breakfast in bed , had some grilled bacon mushrooms and tomatoes, kids are a bit young to be cooking that so treated them with the same but they had hash brown with there’s .
Took the dog out for a walk in the sunshine for an hour, so a bit of extra exercise today, still got a headache though even though I have drunk more today.
Having a lovely Roast beef dinner this afternoon, No Roast potatoes though.
Had a big bunch of flower s delivered from carol Moore for mother’s day and a phone call of Neil, which was nice.
Weigh in day tomorrow, I don’t think I have lost as much as last week, but every little off if good.
Day 7
Back to work again, Monday is always mad, but kept to my diet and snacks, and drunk loads of water today
Neil is home on Friday so can’t wait to see his face with the weight I have lost so far.
Really disappointed for myself today, as I have no weight at all. Spoke to Ema re this and she said it can be normal, really gotta push myself this week and hopefully get a better result next week, log in to then to see how I’ve done.
Welcome back to my 2nd week of my Celebrity Slim
Day 1
Had a great day today, the sun has been shining and felt full of energy
Had a lovely caramel replacement bar for breakfast with my cup of tea.
I made a big slow cooker full of beef stew with loads of veg for tea, and felt well full up, and that was without any bread to dip in it.
Keep hearing myself on the radio, and seems really strange to hear my own voice, set a link up on my facebook, so my friends can follow my blogs and progress during the next 8 weeks.
Day 2
Had another good day, had to wear a smaller pair of trousers to work as my other ones, keep slipping
down my waist, they’re not a smaller size, but not as stretched as the other ones.
Had an apricot meal replacement bar for my breakfast and that was lovely with a nice cup of tea,
I can’t believe how full I am on this diet, just by eating regular and eating healthy
I even went swimming with my eldest and middle daughter tonight and I haven’t swum since we were in Tunisia last year. I felt really refreshed when we came home, and instead of coming home and eating a packet of crisps, I brought some pistachio nuts and had a hand full of them, I must admit though I was sniffing the fresh bread and pastries in the Co op LOL
My eldest daughter is sort of doing this diet with me cutting out carbs and replacing 1 meal a day with a shake, she has lost 3lb just eating healthier, Thanks Sam for all your support, and sorry if I’m boring you

Also spoke to Neil tonight which was nice, he’s doing well, I think he wishes he was here to support me more, but there we go life in a blue suit as they say in the navy.
Day 3
Good day today, busy at work and ate all my snacks and shakes, drunk loads of water, feel really motivated at the moment and all my friends and family are behind me 100 %.
Joined the Celebrity Slim forum, and looked at loads of success stories and looked at some new menu’s
Friday again tomorrow, I hope the weekend goes well.
Day 4
Good day today, drank loads of water, had to go and pick my little boy up from his school trip.
Nice to have him home,
I missed having a snack about 3 o’clock as the ferry was late coming in, and was starving by the time I got in, I could of easily gone in the cupboard and eaten a chocolate biscuit or some crisps, but I was good
And went to the fridge for a piece of fruit. I hope this pay’s off in my first weigh in on Monday.
Day 5
Second weekend in, least with Neil not here I am so busy sorting out the house and shopping, walking the dog.
I took my little boy through McDonald’s drive through to get a bacon and egg mcmuffin and he sat and ate
It in the car, oh the smell …………. I had to open the window in the car.
Had two shakes today, but I have struggled with the water intake, I have been so busy, I even went out and did some gardening. Had a lovely prawn salad for tea and a hand full of nuts for my snack.
The sun has shone this afternoon and I felt great spending time outside in the fresh air.
Day 6
Had a bit of a treat today for breakfast, had some grilled bacon and mushrooms and tomatoes, which was lovely and felt I have deserved it this week.
Was better with my water intake today, busy again with homework and ironing
And cooking dinner did have a lovely 40-minute walk with the dog and the kids, so a bit of extra exercise.
Spoke to Neil again today, so that was nice as weekend’s are the worst when they are away .
Day 7
New supply days, and first weigh in, have lost 5-½ LB, and 6 centimetres off my waist, really pleased with it and has given me the push I needed for next week, also had great help from Sandra at rowlands pharmacy in London road, picked some new flavoured shakes, forest fruit , choc orange and mint choc flavour, also got some mint choc snack bars.
Have had a good day today, except for this sore throat and tickley cough I have got, still gotta drink a litre of water tonight so will be on the toilet all night LOL

Hi and welcome to my first week of Celebrity Slim
Day 1
Went and met the people from quay radio and the organisers of the promotion, had our before photo’s taken.
Also met the other girls,Gail and Anne from our region who are also doing the diet with me.
Started the diet with a banana shake that was lush, I do like bananas, so it is such a shame that you can’t eat them on this diet as they are full of carbs.
I must drink at least 2 litres of water a day, which I did quite easily today, but I will keep you posted on that.
Day 2
Felt great today, one of my work colleagues brought me in a big jug of celery and some organic peanut butter with a big bow round the jug, Thanks Mandy, shame everyone else in work was eating it, oh well it is healthier than cakes and biscuits.
Found the water easier to drink today and spend a lot of my working day walking back and fore the toilet, more exercise though LOL. The shakes were better today and thought a lot about healthier food, Going to email my two other celebrity slim dieters from this area tonight to see how there are doing.
Day 3
Good start to the day, had a bad day at work though and was upset, lost track of my water intake, and had a bit of a headache when I got home, went shopping for some fresh fruits and salad and called into rowlands pharmacy and got some Celebrity slim snack bars.
Had lovely fresh salad with some fish for my main meal.
Added Gail and Anne as friends on facebook had a chat with Anne.
Day 4
Feel good today, had the chocolate shake for breakfast, I wasn’t looking forward to it, as I’m not a chocolate milkshake person, but I was well surprised it tasted good
Drank loads of water today, and don’t feel hungry
I’m not looking forward to my first weekend, I will have to keep myself busy.
Day 5
Better day than what I thought it would be, kept myself busy all morning with housework
And then went shopping for food, brought loads of fresh salad’s, stir fry’s and fruit, the fridge is full to bursting.
My husband went to join his ship today, so will be going to bed early so I don’t think about food
Looking forward to getting new supplies next week, gonna get some meal replacement bars, and
Hopefully try some different flavoured shakes, I’m not so fussed on the soups though.
Day 6
God I hate Sunday’s, Especially with Neil going away yesterday, I have been good though and drank loads today, The weather has been awful, But managed to get out for a walk with the dog and kids.
My email box has been hammered today from all the other contestants from celebrity slim, really enjoyed reading there emails and adding loads of new friends on facebook, it’s great to put faces to names.
I am looking forward to my dinner tonight, but will miss my roast potatoes…
Day 7
New Supply day, went to my local Rowlands pharmacy in London Road North End and met Sandra and Claire, who were lovely, went through some details with them and got to choose the shakes and bars I like, good day today, back to work, made a load of welsh cakes for St David’s day for the girls in work, and haven’t eaten one, just kept drinking my water.
First week nearly over, and so proud that I haven’t eaten potatoes, bread, rice and pasta.
Having a lovely tea of King prawn Thai green curry and stir-fried vegetables.
